WRITTEN REFLECTIONS

The written reflections are passages straight from the heart of  Marcus.  “I feel that sharing my thoughts with my friends and supporters is one of my callings and I hope it will help you”.

Marcus will have written reflections on the website and newsletter each week with a new topic. Feel free to leave comments for Marcus to respond

As a nation, we watched not only history being made, but we saw that hope had prevailed. As a nation, we looked to God to guide us and to give us the courage to look ahead to a brighter future for our country, our children, our brothers and sisters in Christ and the entire world. We shaded tears not of sadness but of joy to see that President elect Barack Obama will now lead us in the direction of change. As a nation, Democrats and Republicans, Whites, Blacks, Hispanics, Rich and Poor must now come together as one to work together to regain the sense of stability that our beautiful country once had. Yes, it will be an uphill battle but as a nation the one thing that will help us to make it up that hill without sliding backward, is the fact of the fiduciary covenant we have with our Lord and Savior and that he has given President Elect Barack Obama the gift of knowledge, compassion, and determination to help lead our country. As a nation, we must continue to pray and stay the course and know that change is not just a dream but now a reality and every American can look to see a better tomorrow. As a nation, we will now become more united and live by the notion of the United States of America. The land of freedom, the land of hope, the land of change, and the land of opportunity. We can't expect our new president to do this alone. Just as millions of Americans donated, knocked on doors, sent emails and made calls, we now need to keep the momentum going and utilize every resource to help our president with every initiative. As a nation, many other nations look to us to bring the world back to its powerful state. We must continue to look ahead to new ways to produce that common goal and not to be selfish. Yes, we want change for our country but the fact of the matter is, our change, our hope, our struggles, and our joy is change for other nations. So we must become a body of one to bring what is needed so that we all will prevail. As a nation, we now have the chance to change the impressions of our youth. For the little boy from the streets of Chicago or the little girl from the streets of Washington DC both can look and see that his or her dream can become a reality and know that our nation can provide the outlet for them to now say “Yes I Can”. We look back at the struggles of those many people who marched, who fought, who spoke to one day bring this day into existence. Now, as a nation we can look to them and say "Yes We Did". Over the next 4 years many of us as Americans will see a rise!  Not a rise in gas prices, or a rise in the cost of houses, but a rise of a stronger economy, stronger families, and the rise of the United States of America. We now know that a nation of change is now a nation of success and that we will not look at the perplexities that may plaque us, but will now move forward to bring upon a new beginning not only for the nation but the entire world. We stand proud knowing that God has blessed us all. As a nation, we walk in the midst of freedom hand in hand, not separate, but with GOD, AS A NATION!
